Performance Crossings 2021 je pátým ročníkem mezinárodního festivalu performance artu.

••• Podobně jako minulý rok jsme nuceni v rámci programu hledat okliky, alternativní cesty a experimentující přístupy jak prezentovat tvůrce a tvůrkyně, jak vytvářet prostor pro vzájemné setkání umělecké komunity a publika. Vnímáme, že poslední měsíce byly extrémně náročné ať už ekonomicky, psychicky či sociálně a uvědomujeme si křehkost naší situace, kdy jsme si odvykly*i sdílet fyzické prostory a umělecké události.
••• Letošní program tak koncipujeme ve dvou fázích. V první, která se uskuteční od 20. do 22. května, se budeme soustředit společně s lokálními umělci*umělkyněmi na znovunalezení společného prostoru a našich schopností věnovat pozornost živému umění a sobě navzájem.
••• Druhá fáze festivalu se pak uskuteční 20. – 22. července a za přítomnosti mezinárodních hostů se zaměříme na rozšiřování našich horizontů, navazování nových vztahů a opravování potrhaných sítí a struktur.

▎Performance Crossings 2021 is the fifth edition of an international performance art festival.

••• When programming the festival we found ourselves in a situation comparable to the previous year. We are again forced to search for detours, alternative and experimental ways how to present artists, how to create space for the mutual encounter of the artistic community and the audience. We perceive the previous months as extremely difficult – economically, psychologically, socially and realize the fragility of the situation in which we are no longer used to share physical spaces, participate in art events.
••• That is why we prepare this year’s edition in two parts. During the first one (20-22 May) we will focus together with the local artists on the rediscovery of a common space and our abilities to pay attention to the live art and each other.
••• For the second part of the festival (20-22 July), we invite international guests with whom we want to broaden our horizons, establish new relationships, repair torn networks and structures.
